| MCI-Framingham inmates blossom behind bars |

For the first time, inmates from MCI-Framingham will display a garden and flowers they grew in a prison greenhouse at the Boston Flower & Garden Show. Their instructor, Laura Broderick, said nine members of the year-long horticulture class will be showing a raised bed vegetable and herb garden and 20 large pots planted with a “variety of beautiful flowering and foliage plants.” Broderick, and John O’Hara, a horticulture teacher for the Department of Correction at Bay State Correctional Center in Norfolk, will accompany the garden and plants to the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston during the show which runs from March 11 to 15.
