| Parolee pleads guilty to murder in deadly police chase |

A parolee who caused a deadly car crash in Redford last fall as he fled from police is headed back to prison after pleading guilty to a murder charge. Under a plea agreement, John McCallum, 27, of Detroit is expected to get 20 to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced March 31 by Third Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway. McCullen pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder and fleeing and eluding. His jury trial had been rescheduled from February to April 13 before he made the Thursday plea deal.
