As authorities continued their investigation into the death of an inmate at Lee Correctional Institution on Thursday, basic questions remained regarding Victor Rogers' incarceration at the maximum security prison. Rogers, 27, of Greenville, was found unresponsive in his cell Tuesday morning at the state prison in Bishopville, according to Department of Corrections spokeswoman Stephanie Givens. The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating his death amid allegations by his family that Rogers died after some type of altercation with correctional officers. Read More. |
