FLORENCE — A 29-year-old Lauderdale County man is back in custody after he was mistakenly released from jail Thursday morning. Michael Stacey Prater is in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on an escape charge, authorities said. James Distefano, an investigator at One Place at the Shoals, said U.S. marshals and authorities with One Place apprehended Prater at 8:15 p.m. Friday in an abandoned home in Cloverdale. Read More. |
