FAIRFIELD — The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is entitled to a dismissal in the case of a state prison inmate in Vacaville who sued after he said guards confiscated his TV, Solano County Superior Court Paul Beeman ruled Monday. David Scott Curtis, paid $325 to settle the case he filed after his TV was confiscated, said he misunderstood the settlement that covered the cost of his television and court filing fees. He sought to overturn the agreement. Beeman said in court Monday that an inmate does not have a general right to possess personal property. Read More. |
