Arkansas inmates spend night in La. because of fire

Inmates from the Union County Jail in Arkansas were transferred to the Union Parish Detention Center in Louisiana after a fire broke out at an El Dorado area chemical plant.
The fire broke out Sunday morning at the Teris Incorporated plant in a warehouse where hazardous wastes were stored.
Johnny Sumlin, warden of the Union Parish facility, said 139 Arkansas inmates were housed their overnight. They returned to Arkansas this morning.
