MCALESTER, Okla. (AP) — An inmate at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary has been found dead in his cell, and his death is being investigated as a homicide. The McAlester News-Capital (http://bit.ly/1C3OHpD ) reports that 56-year-old Shawn Moore was found dead Saturday. According to Terri Watkins, spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Moore's cellmate is being interviewed in connection to the death. Watkins said that the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office was investigating the inmate's death as a homicide. The cause of death is also under investigation. Read More. |
