EAGLE MOUNTAIN —Cedar Valley has three new sites in the proposed locations for the state prison relocation site selection. The Prison Relocation Commission (PRC) quietly posted its “Round 2 Site Screening Assessment Report” online March 27 with a new rating system putting the Cedar Valley as a majority contender for the state prison relocation site, with a site in Fairfield being ranked number one out of the additions. Mayor Chris Pengra of Eagle Mountain, a city with a site previously ranked in the 2014 top three, is concerned about the restructured point system. Read More. |
