| Arkansas governor signs lethal injection measure; suit filed |

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson has signed into law a bill aimed at resuming executions that have been on hold for nearly a decade, and an attorney for a group of death row inmates says he was asking a court to strike down the measure as unconstitutional. Hutchinson's office on Monday said the governor signed a bill the Department of Corrections to use a combination of three drugs for lethal injections in addition to the existing method of a single barbiturate. The agency would also be barred from releasing who makes or supplies the drugs. Read More. |
