Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) partners with Army Program

Indianapolis, Ind.—The Indianapolis Department of Correction is set to become the 534th partner with the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success Program. In an effort to hire more veterans, IDOC has committed to partnering with PaYS to offer transitioning Soldiers an opportunity to continue what they have trained for in the Army and apply into the real world.

A signing ceremony with city officials and Army leaders will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Indiana Convention Center. "We are excited about our partnership with the Indiana Department of Correction and the Army PaYS Program. Ultimately that's what we're here for, to help our community's economy with well-trained individuals who deserve it most—our Veterans,” said Joe Jobin, Advertising and Public Affairs Chief for the Indianapolis Battalion.

The U.S. Army PaYs Program is The Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program is a strategic partnership between the US Army and a cross section of corporations, companies, and public sector agencies. The Program provides America’s youth with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. PaYS Partners guarantee Soldiers an interview and possible employment after the Army. This unique Program is part of the Army’s effort to partner with America’s business community and reconnect America with its Army.
