GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man was shot by a state police trooper after authorities said he showed up at the Adams County Prison with guns and fired several rounds Thursday afternoon. Adams County District Attorney Shawn Wagner said the 31-year-old unnamed man was dressed in camouflage when he arrived at the prison on a bicycle shortly before 2 p.m. He went into the lobby and pointed a handgun at a corrections officer, then walked out of the facility. “She had a calm demeanor and we feel that had a major impact on no violence occurring within the lobby,” Wagner said of the corrections officer.
