| 7 prison staff injured in assault by inmates in Florence |

FLORENCE, AZ - Authorities say several staff members at a Florence prison were injured when they were assaulted by inmates Thursday night. Arizona Department of Corrections spokesman Andrew Wilder said in an email that approximately 25-30 inmates at ASPC-Florence assaulted several department staff members. Wilder said additional staff members quickly responded and secured the inmates involved.
