| Correctional officer job fair a success |

Approximately 25 individuals attended a job fair which sought correctional officers on April 13th. The event was held in the local Career Technical Center. Recent coverage from the Union Springs Herald and WSFA television, about the immediate need for over 100 officers at the local state correctional institution has helped motivate interest of people in the job market regarding this employment opportunity. With a high school diploma, the initial salary is $28,516; an employee with an associate degree is $29,954 and a bachelor degree is $31,488.
