Two corrections officers were treated for smoke inhalation following a small blaze Wednesday morning at the Graterford state prison in Skippack. The fire was quickly put out by corrections officers trained in firefighting, according to state corrections department communications officer Susan Bensinger. The fire was confined to a single cell in a general population block at the prison, Bensinger said. No evacuation was needed, she added. Read More. |
