| Inmates get fields ready for opening day |

SWANSEA — The fields and the areas around them at the Hoyle School will be in good condition for the opening day of the Swansea Girls Softball League, in part because of some inmates from the Bristol County Sheriff's Department. During the April school vacation last week, the inmates spread mulch around the front of the Hoyle School, cleaned the playground area, sidewalks and parking lot, graded fields, cleaned up the dugout areas, set up tents, raked leaves, landscaped and painted picnic benches.
