WATERBURY — An inmate who attempted suicide at the Springfield prison last week died Tuesday at the hospital, according to the Vermont Department of Corrections. Officials said 34-year-old Patrick Fennessey, of Brattleboro, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center of his self-inflicted injuries. The department said Fennessey, who was in prison on a conviction of burglary and unlawful trespass, had attempted suicide by strangulation Thursday. Read More. |
