| Department of Correction employees recognized for exceptional service |

Delaware - On the eve of Public Service Recognition Week, three individual staff and 48 staff members assigned to Department of Correction work teams received recognition for providing service above and beyond the call of duty. They were recognized during an annual awards ceremony held at the department’s Dover headquarters. In remarks to award recipients and fellow staff, Commissioner Robert Coupe commended the exceptional dedication to duty exhibited by the individual and team award recipients. “While many of you are being recognized today for a single accomplishment or event, we acknowledge that your contributions and efforts extend to the work you perform without fanfare each and every day to make our facilities secure, support the rehabilitation of offenders under our supervision, and keep our communities safe. In our profession, it is not enough to simply complete a task or finish a job; the path you take and the decisions you make along the way are equally as critical, and the accomplishments we recognize today are the result of your decisions to follow that honorable path.
