HOOVER, Ala. —State prison officers are looking for a missing inmate in the Inverness area. According to law enforcement, state inmate John Sharpe left his work assignment in Hoover on Inverness Parkway around 3 p.m. ADOC said he was part of a work crew doing cabinet work at Hoover Fire Station No. 7 when he asked to use the restroom and never returned.
