| Former Tecumseh guards weigh in on recent events |

LINCOLN, Neb. —The Tecumseh State Correctional Institution was already short on staff before a riot occurred in early May, and even more employees left after that. "(I) tried to warn them. Tried to tell them something like this was possible to happen," a former corrections officer at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution said. These warnings went unheeded, according to former long-time Tecumseh corrections officers. Both left the prison in the last two years, and asked to conceal their identity because they still have friends who work at the prison and are concerned for their safety. Read More. |
