| Prison could provide 400 jobs with plans to house out-of-state prisoners |

LAKE CO. -- Plans are moving forward with the re-opening of Geo Group’s multi-million dollar North Lake Correctional Facility in Webber Township near Baldwin. Lake County Sheriff Bob Hilts met with Geo Group officials and the warden on Tuesday to talk about logistics in transporting out-of-state prisoners from where they are flown in, to the prison. "The first load will fly into a designated airport," Sheriff Hilts said. "Then, the smaller groups that come in after that, in and out, as far as processing, will come into a smaller airport closer."
