JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A corrections officer is recovering after being attacked at the maximum security Jefferson City Correctional Center. The Missouri Department of Corrections told ABC 17 News the woman was hospitalized after an inmate assaulted her Monday night. The DOC said she was taken to a Columbia hospital and is in fair condition. The prisoner could face charges. Read More. |
