Another Arizona prison corrections officer has been hurt in an inmate attack - the third time in three days that officers have been hurt by inmates. Department of Corrections spokeswoman Cam Hunter says an officer at the Winslow prison was stabbed yesterday. She says the wounds aren't considered life threatening. Tuesday, an officer at the Lewis prison near Buckeye was attacked by an inmate. The DOC initially said that the officer had been punched in the face. Now, it says he also had been stabbed. The officer remains hospitalized. Three officers were injured Monday while breaking up an inmate fight at the state's Tucson prison. One was stabbed. She was released from the hospital yesterday. |
