| Northampton County D.A. speaks out on prison sweep |

EASTON, Pa. - The Northampton County District Attorney is speaking out about conflicting reports that came out after a massive sweep of the county prison. Initially it was reported that drugs were found, but the D.A. says that wasn't the case. After the sweep on Wednesday, Northampton County director of corrections Daniel Keen told 69 News there were three positive hits for drugs in the prison. The D.A. said no drugs were found and that word "hit" can be misleading. “When I came in Thursday I thought they had a couple of cases of drugs in cells and the locker of a guard," said Northampton County District Attorney, John Morganelli. "I was thinking oh geez we had a guard over there that has drugs in his locker and that we were going to be looking at a further investigation and prosecution, but as it turned out that was not the case.” Read More. |
