| Victim: Suspect vowed to kill prison officer after assault |

WESTPHALIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — After months of stalking allegations and the filing of a personal protection order, police say a former prisoner at the Michigan Reformatory in Ionia went to the home of a female prison officer armed with a knife and assaulted her boyfriend. The incident happened Friday around 3:30 p.m. at the officer’s home in Clinton County’s Westphalia Township. The victims say the man showed up at their home and knocked on the door. When the officer’s boyfriend stepped outside, he said, the attacker brandished a knife. Police say the boyfriend was able to disarm the suspect before the alleged attacker ran away from the scene.
