PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An inmate is seeking $50,000 in a federal lawsuit over injuries he says he suffered when he ran headfirst into a goalpost while trying to catch a football at the Oregon State Correctional Institution in Salem.

He's alleging negligence and cruel and unusual punishment.

The lawsuit says Thomas suffered a chipped tooth, a concussion, bouts of vertigo, a forehead scar and an inability to sleep.

I also had a serious football injury but I wasn't able to recover fully. So now I can't play, I only can track what's going on in different leagues at https://livescores.biz which also is an interesting thing.
