| Corrections: 87-year-old Fairbanks inmate dies |

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — An 87-year-old inmate at the Fairbanks Correctional Center has died. The Alaska Department of Corrections announced the death of Don Murphy in a Monday release. Murphy was pronounced dead Sunday morning after being taken to the hospital. Corrections spokeswoman Sherrie Daigle says officials suspect he died of natural causes, but an autopsy will be performed.
