LIMON, CO – On June 4, 2015, the Colorado Department of Corrections confirmed the death of offender Joshua Edmonds (DOC# 151644), who was serving a 15 year sentence for Burglary. Offender Edmonds was housed at the Limon Correctional Facility. The investigation into the offender’s death is still ongoing and currently being treated as a suspected homicide. At this time, the coroner’s office is conducting a post mortem examination to determine the cause and manner of death. Information has been shared with the 18th District Attorneys office and a suspect has been identified related to this incident. Investigators with the Office of the Inspector General continue to work in conjunction with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to investigate the incident. |
