Fall Creek (WQOW) - The second manhunt in Eau Claire County in as many days has come to an end. Billy Lee Croon was taken into custody around 7 P.M. Croon, who according to the Eau Claire County Sheriff ,has an Altoona address, allegedly stole a van from an Altoona car dealership and led authorities on a high speed chase just after noon. Sheriff Ron Cramer says Croon then ran from the van and hid in a wooded area about a mile from the Fall Creek Schools. Authorities set up a perimeter and put the school on lock down, students had already left for the day, but 85 teachers and staff were ordered to stay in the building. Authorities say Croon was hiding out in a patch of woods for most of the day then, when he took off running to another area, he was spotted by a state patrol airplane.
