Sunday, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services announced that it was conducting a nationwide search for two deputy director positions and for the soon-to-be-open job of behavioral health administrator. Prison Director Scott Frakes hopes to have the deputy director positions filled by August, according to a statement issued Sunday evening. The positions became vacant with the retirements of Larry Wayne, deputy director of programs and services, on April 6, and of Frank Hopkins, deputy director of institutions, on May 1. Dr. Cameron White, administrator of behavioral health for prisons, is transferring to the State Department of Health and Human Services effective June 22, according to the statement. White has worked in the prison system for 18 years. Recruitment for his position will begin in two weeks. Read More. |
