A prisoner at the Allen Correctional Center in Oberline, La., is dead after being stabbed by another inmate. Grant Willis, chief deputy of the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office, says 39-year-old Hilton Jones was fatally stabbed during a disturbance with another inmate inside a prison dorm on Wednesday. Willis says criminal charges against the suspect, 27-year-old Toby Shavis, are expected to be filed once the investigation into the initial disturbance is completed. |
