SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Gov. Bruce Rauner has named an acting director of the Illinois Department of Corrections to replace an appointed director who resigned two months into the job. Gladyse C. Taylor had been an agency adviser and an acting director in previous years. Corrections spokeswoman Nicole Wilson confirmed on Tuesday that Taylor had been named to the acting director post and cited her role in planning and funding the department's treatment programs.
