| Fight at Washington penitentiary injures 3 inmates; unit put on lockdown |

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — A Washington Department of Corrections spokesman says a fight involving 17 inmates at the state penitentiary outside Walla Walla has injured three offenders. DOC spokesman Andrew Garber said the fight broke out Wednesday morning in a prison yard and was quickly controlled. He said two inmates were being treated at a local hospital for their injuries while a third was being treated at the prison’s medical facility. No staff members were hurt. Read More. |
