AUSTIN - Austin-area authorities were searching Sunday for an inmate who fled from a hospital where he was being treated for an unspecified medical condition. Dacious June Parker, 24, remained at large more than 36 hours after he was seen fleeing on foot from University Medical Center at Brackenridge about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade said Sunday. A corrections officer assigned to watch Parker at the hospital stepped out of Parker's room briefly, and when he returned the inmate was gone. Read More. |
