| Two state prisons on lockdown |

Two Illinois prisons were placed on lockdown status over the weekend after inmates and guards were involved in scuffles. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, two inmates at the all-female Decatur Correctional Center were involved in a fight on Friday night. The 770-inmate facility is on partial lockdown in the wake of that incident. Corrections spokeswoman Nicole Wilson said neither inmate required hospitalization. Read More. |
