| 25-year-old Topeka man dies at Lansing Correctional Facility |

A Topeka man incarcerated at Lansing Correctional Facility died Tuesday, a state corrections official confirmed Thursday. Adam Pfannenstiel, spokesman for the Kansas Department of Corrections, said Ricardo Flores-Ramos, 25, died Tuesday at the facility. His cause of death hadn’t been determined. Pfannenstiel said the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death, which is standard procedure for deaths of inmates in state correctional facilities. An obituary received by The Topeka Capital-Journal on Thursday said a prayer service would be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Penwell-Gabel’s Mid-Town Chapel.
