One of the two individuals who escaped from the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown Thursday evening has been apprehended, according to Capt. Bryan Niewind with the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Niewind said Natonie Ann Decoteau, 33, was taken into custody around 8:45 a.m. Saturday in Bismarck by the Bismarck Police Department. She and another inmate escaped shortly after 8:45 p.m. Thursday from a fenced outdoor enclosure at the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation-funded addiction treatment unit at the State Hospital.

Valinda Belinda Jean Tyndall, 28, remains at large and is believed to still be in the Bismarck area where she has ties. She is described as a Native-American female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with pink, blonde and brown hair and brown eyes. She has a star tattoo on the back of her neck, a skull in a headdress tattoo on her left wrist and a “Marley” tattoo on her right shoulder.
