| Inmate from Clinton dies at Maine Correctional Center |

A 67-year-old Clinton man who had been arrested last year on child pornography charges died early Tuesday at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham. Robert Lewis had served four months of a three-year sentence handed down in March by Kennebec County Superior Court for possession of sexually explicit material of a minor under 12. He died about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. In April, there was a motion from Lewis for a medical furlough, which the court denied, according to Kennebec County Superior Court records. A spokesman for the Maine State Police said there was no indication of foul play.
