| SLED investigating homicide at Lieber Correctional Institute |

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Department of Corrections officials say SLED is investigating following the homicide of an inmate at the Lieber Correctional Institute. Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet said 33-year-old Dasuan Brown died of a stab wound to the chest and died on July 16. Nisbet ruled the death as a homicide. SCDC officials say Brown was incarcerated at Lieber for a carjacking. Officials say the prison was on lockdown following the stabbing. Read More. |
