| Nurse sentenced for smuggling cellphone into federal prison |

JACKSON, Miss. —A former nurse at the Federal Correctional Institution in Yazoo City has been sentenced to two months in prison for smuggling a cellphone into the facility. Federal prosecutors said in a news release that Lavonne Boose, 43, of Benton will be under a year of supervised release after she's out of prison. She also was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
