Prison officials say a 72-year-old inmate in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center for first-degree murder has died. Nevada Department of Corrections officials said Sherman Meyer died Tuesday at the prison's medical facility. The agency says Meyer was imprisoned since Sept. 23, 1987 for life without parole for murder and 15 years for robbery plus weapons charges. Read More. |
