| Lockdown lifted at Northeast Correction Complex, but not back to normal |

The lockdown at the Northeast Correction Complex in Mountain City has been lifted after a week. Robert Reburn with the Tennessee Department of Correction told News 5 WCYB the lockdown was lifted over the weekend, but things are not back to normal there. For now, Reburn said, prisoners are still restricted. They can only leave their cells for classes or jobs, but cannot leave for recreation. At some point, the warden will decide when it's safe again for prisoners and staff, and activity can return to normal. Read More. |
