| Oregon inmate walks away from mobile camp |

An inmate walked away Sunday morning from a mobile camp at the Stouts Creek Fire near Canyonville, according to the Oregon Department of Corrections. The inmate, Kenneth Curtis Polchowski, 26, had been housed at the Warner Creek Correctional Facility camp since July 31. Warner Creek Correctional Facility is a minimum-security prison in Lakeview that houses approximately 486 male inmates who are within four years of release. Oregon State Police are investigating. Oregon Department of Corrections staff discovered Polchowski missing at approximately 6 a.m. after a routine count. Polchowski is a Caucasian male, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Read More. |
