Boston, MA – Community Resources for Justice (CRJ), a human service and community safety nonprofit business that provides both direct service programs and research and consulting services has named Ellen Donnarumma as their Vice President for Justice Services. In this role, Donnarumma will lead CRJ’s programs that successfully transition ex‐offenders from incarceration back to their communities. She began her work July 1.

Ellen has served on CRJ’s executive team since joining the organization in 2006, responsible during this period for both business development as well as fundraising, marketing and communications. “Ellen has been a key member of my leadership team for nine years and I am excited that she is taking on this new responsibility for us,” said John Larivee, CRJ’s president and CEO.

Donnarumma has more than 25 years of experience in the field. Prior to CRJ, she served as Vice President of Business Development for Community Solutions, Inc. (Hartford, CT) where she led the agency’s business development efforts resulting in a ten‐year period of explosive growth. Additionally, Ellen brings a diverse portfolio of consulting experience with a wide variety of criminal and juvenile justice, behavioral health and child welfare agencies within the focus areas of business development, fund development and community relations. Her early career was spent as an operative for the Republican National Committee.

She leads a division poised for significant growth in delivery of adult re‐entry programs at the county, state, and federal level. Recognized as a leader in the field, CRJ delivers evidence‐based, effective community corrections programs in three states, helping women and men learn the skills needed to successfully rejoin their families and communities.

“This is an exciting time for community corrections,” said Donnarumma. “There is a robust national conversation taking place about the importance and value of programs like ours and CRJ is delivering some of the best community‐based reentry services available. I look forward to working with my talented CRJ colleagues and our dedicated board in expanding our positive impact on the people and the communities we serve.”

Ellen is a board member of the International Community Corrections Association (ICCA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University.

Ellen lives in Cheshire, CT with her husband and two children.

Since 1878, CRJ has improved the lives of vulnerable and challenging populations, thereby helping to create communities that are safe, secure, and more livable. In additional to our social justice services division, CRJ also provides direct service programs to adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities. Additionally, our Crime and Justice Institute is a national‐scale consulting practice that partners with elected officials, policy makers, corrections professionals and thought leaders to effect significant criminal justice reforms in statutes, regulations and practice.
