| Corrections Director Announces Senior Staff Appointments |

Nebraska Corrections Director Scott Frakes has announced the appointment of two new deputy directors, a chief of psychiatry, a new head of behavioral health and a warden at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln. Frakes says he is continuing to reorganize the department which has been plagued with problems. The new hires include longtime employees who held other positions and a specialist who has worked in Illinois, Idaho and Afghanistan. The new deputy directors are Michael D. Rothwell and Diane Sabatka-Rine. Rothwell is currently working as an advisor in Afghanistan. He has over 30 years of progressive experience working with alcohol and chemical dependency and the re-entry of offenders back into society. His previous positions include warden at the Sheridan Correctional Center in Illinois and deputy administrator – Division of Programs, with the Idaho Department of Corrections. Sabatka-Rine has been an employee of NDCS for 31 years, the last 12 years providing leadership as warden at three different institutions. Read More. |
