| Suspect Who Escaped from Md. Hospital Arrested in Indianapolis |

WASHINGTON — An arrestee who was able to “walk away” from a hospital in Maryland has been taken into custody by police in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Prince George’s County Police Department was searching for 54-year-old Byron Matthews, who arrested Tuesday. Police say he has a 2011 fugitive warrant for distribution of marijuana in Pennsylvania. Officials say he was arrested late Wednesday night by police in Indianapolis as he was coming out of a hotel. Police say he gave his last name while buying a cellphone there, and police were able to identify him. It was not immediately known how he traveled to Indianapolis, an estimated 600 miles away from Prince George’s County. Read More. |
