U.S. Marshals arrested an escaped inmate from Columbia River Correctional Institution Friday evening in Fairview. Staff at the prison in Portland first discovered that inmate Danny Spillers, 35, was missing at approximately 5:30 a.m. Aug. 2 after discovering a broken window in the kitchen area. According to a release from the Oregon Department of Corrections, U.S. Marshalls arrested Spillers at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Fairview after 12 days on the lamb from the minimum security facility, which houses approximately 595 male inmates who are within four years of release.
