MONROE, Wash. - About 700 inmates at the Monroe Correctional Complex are on lockdown Tuesday after a brawl broke out in one of the facility's five units. The melee broke out at about 6 p.m. Monday in the outdoor yard of the Washington State Reformatory Unit. Several inmates sustained minor injuries, but no prison staffers were hurt, said Susan Biller of the state Department of Corrections. The cause of the fight is unknown. Read More. |
