CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Cleveland Heights police chief has asked the state corrections department to review the case of a 37-year-old woman who died last month in the city's jail.

Police Chief Jeffrey Robertson has requested an investigation by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction into the death of Ralkina Jones, city officials said on Tuesday.

Jones was found dead in the bed of her cell on July 26, less than two days after she was arrested in a domestic violence incident. Her cause of death remains under investigation.

Robertson also asked the department to review the city's jail policies, which City Manager Tanisha Briley said were approved by the state earlier this year.
