Inmates at the Dallas County (Texas) Juvenile Justice Center were evacuated last Wednesday after what was believed to be a gas leak occurred at the facility in the 1600 block of Terre Colony Court in southwest Dallas.
An odor, possibly gas, caused 13 of the juveniles to be hospitalized, although none of the inmates suffered life-threatening illness, according to NBC 5.
The cause of the smell remained unclear after initial reports, and authorities have not confirmed the source of the smell as a gas leak.
