David Retallack said he spent 20 years driving trucks before starting a career in security, which he said he thought could better support his family. On Tuesday, Retallack took another chance to elevate his job experience by interviewing at the Dothan Career Center for an opportunity with the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC). He was among several potential candidates who came to the career center Tuesday to interview with ADOC Southern Region Recruiter, Lt. Franetta Riley, for clerical, administrative and security positions with the department. The interviews were the start of a process for ADOC employment that involves a physical ability test, written exam, background check and drug test. On-site testing dates for the department are set for Atmore, Elmore and Bessemer in October and November. Read More. |
